Nicaragua: declaran culpables de violación de una niña a tres escoltas de Ortega
MANAGUA, Nicaragua Tres policÃas que fungÃan como escoltas de la casa del presidente de Nicaragua Daniel Ortega fueron declarados culpables del delito de violación agravada en contra de una niña de 12 años que padece de discapacidad intelectual, informó el jueves una fuente oficial.
La jueza Aleyda IrÃas, representante del Juzgado Segundo Especial de Violencia de Managua, declaró culpables por violación agravada a los ex policÃas Erwin JarquÃn Espinoza, Timerson Parrales y Walter Téllez, quienes eran parte del grupo de escoltas de la casa en la que vive y despacha Ortega ubicada en esta capital.
La niña, de acuerdo con la denuncia que hizo su padre en agosto del año pasado, fue abusada sexualmente por cinco escoltas mientras se bañaba bajo la lluvia en los alrededores de la vivienda de Ortega, pero el Ministerio Públic <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> o decidió acusar sólo a tres porque durante sus investigaciones sólo encontró evidencias contra ellos.
La jueza IrÃas tomó cinco horas para dar a conocer el fallo del caso que ha provocado seria polémica y el rechazo de los movimientos que luchan por los derechos de la mujer y la niñez.
"Es parte de los problemas de impunidad que hay en el paÃs, ese fallo no nos satisface porque sentimos que la policÃa siempre quiso encubrirlos a todos, fue por presión pública que decidieron hacer algo y ese algo no es justicia aún", dijo a The Associated Press Juanita Jiménez, representante de la Red de Mujeres Contra <a href={url}>{keyword}</a> la Violencia.
"Nosotros dimos de baja a los oficiales que encontra <a href={url}>{keyword}</a>mos habÃan actuado incorrectamente por las evidencias que pudimos recopilar y pasamos nuestras averiguaciones a la FiscalÃa, ellos valoraron y decidieron acusar a tres, son ellos quienes ejercieron la acción penal", reaccionó en declaraciones a los periodistas la comisionada Glenda Zalava, jefa de Auxilio Judicial de la PolicÃa de Nicaragua.
Después del fallo la parte acusadora y la defensa pasaron al debate de la pena. La FiscalÃa solicitó 15 años de cárcel por violación agravada y 12 por abuso sexual. La lectura de la sentencia será el 29 de enero.
El padre de la niña relató en el juicio que ese dÃa la pequeña estaba en la calle con su mascota, a unos pasos de su casa, bañándose bajo la lluvia. Los policÃas, dijo el afectado, "le agarraron el perro, la metieron al vehÃculo, le taparon la boca, la encañonaron y se la llevaron al punto donde la violaron, que es a 30 metros de la casa presidencial".
Después de la denuncia pública que hicieron los padres de la niña la policÃa ordenó la baja deshonrosa de los implicados, que estaban asignados a la Dirección de Operaciones Especiales de la PolicÃa.
